Vietnam War

The Vietnam War was one of many Cold War battle. Soviet and Chinese backed North Vietnam faced of against U.S. backed South Vietnam. This war was the first war where the enemy wasnt a standing army but Guerrilla insurgents that used abush tactics and traps instead of manpower alone. Many new weapons of war were used such as the attack helicopter, nampalm, the M-16 assault rifle and the AK-47 assault rifle. The war was hard fought and we lost 375,000 allies troops, but they killed 1,600,000 Vietnamese. The Allies fought bravely but in April 1975 all U.S. troops withdrawled and the communist north annexed the south.
