Gulf War

The Gulf War was the U.S. first but not last war in the Middle East. In 1990 Saddam Hussein the leader of Iraq invaded neighboring Kuwait. In response a coalition made up of U.S. and other western nations and Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The War wasnt very long the coalition used airstrikes to disable Iraqi communications and early warning systems but after only 100 hours after U.S. ground forces hit Kuwait City the Iraqi government agreed to a ceasfire.
