The Iraq War

The Iraq war was a conflict shortly after 9/11. The war was a result of the U.S. having reason to belive the Iraq was devolping WMDs and was funding terror groups. The war against the Government lasted less than a year but the war to counter Iraqi insurgency lasted until 2011.  5,000 brave men died in direct result of the war and over 189,000 died indirectly. The war was very expensive it costed about 1.7 trillion dollars. By the time it ended no nukes were found but there was a bunch of Chemical weapons were discoverd.
